So here’s the question that has been rattling around in my brain in the last 24 hours. Keep in mind that I am a first rate cynic as you read this and I believe that everyone has an agenda they want to push and I think Tucker’s agenda is to defeat the Bagels at whatever the cost even if it means holding hands with the Mooselimbs.
I can’t help but wonder if in that interview between Tucker Carlson and J. D. Hall, was the price that a comparative nobody like Hall had to pay in order to be platformed by Tucker was coming out with that utterly jejune statement about Mooselimbs being kind to Christians? I mean Hall, while having some presence in the Christian world is insignificant compared to most of the guests that Tucker Carlson invites. (Though it is true that Tucker had a conversation with Andrew Isker at one point also.) I can see a kind of quid pro quo existing between Tucker and J. D. Hall going something like this …
Tucker – “I’ll invite you on the show but we need to be clear here that one purpose of this show is to cast the Mooselimbs in a more positive light vis-a-vis the Bagels.”
J. D. Hall – “I think I can do that.”
Another piece of this puzzle is to ask, “Was Tucker really so historically vacuous to as be taken in by that statement that Ottoman Mooselimbs were kind to Christians ?” I mean you don’t have to have a Ph.D in Ottoman Empire History to know that was a whopper of a falsehood the minute it poured over J. D. Hall’s lips.
Consider that neither J. D. Hall, nor Tucker Carlson are stupid people. It seems to me a mind boggling proposition that both Hall said that and that Tucker just swallowed it hook, line, and sinker. It strikes me that this whole thing was really good propaganda.
Another test here is to see if Tucker will correct this. Tucker is forever saying that he gets things wrong and he is glad to admit when he gets things wrong. Well, this piece was as wrong as it gets. Will Tucker go on his channel and say … “Look, we try to get things right here but sometimes that doesn’t happen. With that in mind I need to apologize to my viewers for something that was said in my interview with J. D. Hall.”
I think such a statement as coming from both Carlson and Hall would do a great deal to rescue their future credibility. If Hall keeps defending his statement here and if Tucker doesn’t correct it, I will be tempted to file them as suspicious when it comes to their future takes.
Pastor, I admit that I didn’t watch the interview, but I still believe that you have every reason to hedge on the sincerity and timing of the Carlson / Hall interview. Tucker is controlled opposition. Wasn’t his dad cia? And I remember when pictures of him and Hunter Biden at dinner together were circulating. It appears that in this phase of the controlled demolition of Western civilization that TC has been granted to play the civic nationalist White Hat, but only after having served his time as a bow tie wearing Fox News stooge. None of us really know who is pulling the strings of the world stage in a human sense, whether it’s DC, Tel Aviv, or Brussels, and the various in-fighting and factions of those groups, but we know that Satan is the god of this world and he acts accordingly to his nature under the sovereign providence of the Lord God Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth. Our Lord and God has ordered all things to come to pass, whether through primary, secondary, or tertiary means, for His good pleasure and glory, and for our good, that we might become more and more conformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
That said, I used to read Pulpit and Pen religiously and I appreciated the work JD did in exposing Big Eva, Tabiti, and the SBC, but there was always a sense of self-righteous, muck raking with him. Over time his online antics grew increasingly self-serving and political with Christ as an afterthought. His antics also grew bizarre and led to his implosion.
To circle back to your suspicions, for Tucker to platform JD Hall is about as “reasonable” as Trump picking Paula White as his spiritual advisor; do you mean to tell me that with all of their status, financial resources, and dozens of aides to research and vet hundreds of better qualified candidates, they choose JD Hall and Paula White?
I’ll close with saying that compared to the rest of the dreck out there, Tucker might be better than nothing.

I agree completely with the thrust of your observations here. I would only say that when scripture teaches that Satan is “God of this world,” it is teaching that Satan is the God of this world insomuch as that world lies in the fall. For example, Colossians teaches “You have been delivered from the Kingdom of Darkness to the Kingdom of God’s dear Son, whom He loves.” Both of those Kingdoms are in this geographical world. Obviously, then, Satan is not God over the Kingdom of God’s dear Son — a Kingdom that is in this world. So…. one world …. two Kingdoms operating in this world. Christ is the ruler of His Kingdom and His people, Satan is ruler of His Kingdom and His people. The triune God raises up His Kingdom people to roll back the Kingdom of darkness over time and in Keeping with His exhaustive sovereignty over all created world.
That’s why we can sing;
This is my Father’s world
And though the wrong
Is oft so strong
He is the ruler yet.
