Novig, a sports betting company, recently hired Sydney Sweeney to sell their product. The Novig ad campaign features Sweeney appearing with limited clothing and expansive skin. Sydney uses sports equipment to cover the more (ahem) remote parts of her body. Throughout the commercial, she emphasizes the company’s “just sports” message, distinguishing Novig from platforms that allow betting on politics or other non-sports topics.
The commercial has drawn a firestorm of protests from female athletes who are criticizing Novig and Sweeney for sexualizing women in sports while undermining their effort to be recognized for their achievements (and presumably not for their beauty).
Sweeney’s commercials were certainly suggestive but mild compared to what once was routinely covered in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Still, being a Christian, I would prefer women to be undressed only in their own bedrooms before the eyes of only their husbands. Further still, Sweeney’s nakedness in service of pushing the sports gambling industry puts a whole new meaning on “scoring.”
The really troubling thing in all this though is not Sweeney and her well placed sports apparel. No, the troubling thing is that men and women both are being pushed into having to decide whether they favor the female sex as buxom and shamelessly exposed like Ms. Sweeney or whether thy favor the female sex as Butch Lesbians such as exists so predominately in the female athlete world. Let’s face it, many of those female athletes critiquing Sweeney might be able to win a Mr. Universe contest but they’d their only hope in a Miss America contest would be the ribbon for winning Miss Congeniality. Lesbianism is rife in women’s sports as any honest WNBA hoopster fan or LPGA golf fan would tell you.
I am writing with a vote that says, “none of the above.” I would that Sydney put her clothes back on – all of her clothes please – and I would that female athletes would quit acting as if there is something about female beauty that needs to be shamed.
And if I could really have my cake and eat it also, I would that females would neither be able to make a living selling their flesh nor in their ability to sweat, grunt, and race like men.
Oh… and I wish that the gambling businesses would go extinct. I doubt I shall live long enough to see any of that come to pass.
Few things in this fallen world trigger more envy than a physically attractive white woman. And if she is listening now, I would add that she is, to intelligent white men, far more attractive when modestly and tastefully dressed than when parading flesh.
Also, dear woman, do not mar or deface or disfigure your God-given body (your temple) with piercings and tattoos. That is nothing more than disgusting paganism, and that includes tattooed crowns of thorns and crosses, etc. A “Christian” tattoo is oxymoronic as well as simply moronic. Respect yourself (and the Lord, certainly) more than that.
In our degenerate society, we now see older women with pink and purple hair. In Kroger today, there was a young faggot boy worker with female nails and mannerisms and pink highlights in his hair. When I was young, you NEVER saw that kind of disgusting and filthy dysfunction in society. THERE REALLY OUGHT TO BE A LAW, and I am working toward a new America where there is one. Enough.
The advertising industry, which is dominated by New York Jews and their West Coast imitators, loves to defile women, and white (Christian presenting) women are the chief things they seek to defile. Sweeny is doing more harm than good. I hope the shekels are worth it to her when her daughters come home pregnant in their teens.
