Calvin Robinson & His Condemnable Idolatry

Joel Webbon has not merely platformed Calvin Robinson, he has brought Robinson into his organization. Here is the English Catholic Calvin Robinson promoting the abominable idolatry that is the Mass on his Substack;
____

Robinson writes,

“The Mass is the blessed sacrament by which we enter Calvary, and as a congregation gathered together in His name, we are joined with the Communion of Saints in an act of true worship, as the priest at the altar removes himself, dons the sacred vestments as an unworthy servant (insert Latin mumbo jumbo), and TAKES THE PLACE OF CHRIST, OFFERING UP THE OBLATIONS TO THE FATHER.”

Bret responds,

The Heidelberg Catechism teaches, following Scripture, that the Mass is nothing but condemnable idolatry. Robinson by teaching this is revealing that he is an idolater.

Realize when Robinson talks about “takes the place of Christ, offering up the oblations to the Father,” the man is saying that the Priest is sacrificing Christ anew as a means for forgiveness for the congregants. This puts us back under the old covenant where the priest offered up bulls and goats as oblations to the Father. The only difference is that while blood was required in the OT God has lowered the standard so that only bread and wine are required now in the new and better covenant.

But it really isn’t bread and wine offered up as an oblation is it? Robinson, like all idolaters, believes that it is the body and blood of Christ that he, as the Priest, is offering up.

Calvin Robinson writes,

In that moment, heaven and earth are joined – the parish and the choir of angels are one in praise and worship of the one true living God (Inser Latin mumbo jumbo phrase). (Enter even more Latin mumbo jumbo speak) says the priest, addressing God the Father, offering up an unspotted and immaculate victim; the hostiam or host, is the sacrificial offering, preparing for the spotless Lamb of God as the bread is about to become the true Victim.”

Bret responds,

This is full on blasphemy. The phrase, “The bread is about to become the true victim” is pure transubstantiation horse shit.

Elsewhere in this blasphemous article Robinson alleges that the Protestant Eucharist is nothing but a Jewish inspired table meal. For Robison if the bread and wine of the Eucharist is NOT the corporeal and literal body and blood of Christ then the Eucharist is really not the Lord’s Table. Robison is denying that Protestants ever take communion.

The man even goes so far as taking seriously Fatima as a means of revelational prediction.

If you love your soul you’ll avoid Calvin Robinson.
