The Eclipse Of The Family

Consistent with what Professor S. Y. Volfson predicted in 1929 in his work, “The Sociology of Marriage and the Family,” the family that existed in the context of Christendom, as given parameters by the Scripture of the Christian faith, has, because of the onslaught of anti-Christ Worldviews, completely lost its character and shape.

1.) Whereas in Christendom the Christian family had an economic/productive function in anti-Christ thinking such as International Capitalism and various stripes of Marxism the family is no longer a productive unit. With the loss of this economic function the family loses the sense of its interdependence and so loses its centrality. Now with the economic function of family stripped from the family other loyalties introduce themselves that could not have been as primary before the decline of the family as economic unit. In Marxist system that former family loyalty is shifted to the State in which we live and move and have our being. In Finance capitalist systems that former family loyalty is shifted to the marketplace which now replaces the family.

2.) Whereas in Christendom the Christian family was a integrated whole that operated as a joint household in terms of fellowship (as seen in shared communal meals, shared burdens, shared responsibilities) now the family is barely a bed and boarding outfit. Homes function now more as human Cattle Stalls for the State. Meals are seldom communal. Interests of the various family members are diverse and not integrated in the least. Parents are more chauffeurs for their children’s next extracurricular activity then they are fonts of wisdom for the children to learn from. The Christendom scenario of families together preparing the meals and then sharing the meals has been replaced by “catch as catch can” for each individual in the house. The sense of the communal thus has also shifted from members of the family finding their identity if the families corporate identity to members of the family finding their identity in some artificially constructed peer group to which they now belong. Each member of the family thus is integrated each into different “alien to the family” wholes.

3.) Whereas in Christendom the Christian family was primarily responsible for the rearing and educating of children which would eventually naturally arrive. However, now in our Brave New World, unaffected by the categories of the Christian faith, those who are now responsible for the rearing of Children are, with increasing commonality, State agencies. In the anti-Christ familial world children are just little cogs to eventually fit into the Statist machine. As such children must be set upon the lathe of the State in order to be shaped to fit the machine culture that they as cogs are going to fit into. Because this is so children are increasingly turned over at younger and younger ages to be reared by comparative strangers and aliens to the family. Children are often reared in state nurseries and kindergartens, state sanctioned daycare centers, or some other State approved facility. Because this is so, the loyalty of both children and parents is no longer to one another but to the State who provides for them.

4.) Whereas in Christendom the Christian family was designed to be inter-generational so that it not only cared for the young but also for the aged, now, with the destruction of the Christian family, the aged are farmed out to centers licensed and monitored by the State just as the children. Thus the sense of continuity between the generations is eclipsed and each family and each member of each family stands as an atomistic individual easily picked off by the machinations of the Zombie State. Both the care of the children and the care of the aged are cut off from the family as limbs might be cut off of a once mighty tree.

So, in all this the family is purged of its social content with the intent that it might wither away in favor of the State. Indeed, in light of all this it is not difficult to see a day coming when the family will be completely un-necessary as a distinct unit as the motto returns “everything within the state, nothing outside the state.” Already, with the State creation of artificial family social constructs (consider the recent example of California law wherein more than two people can be considered parents of a child) the reality of the Christian family continues to whither away.

The Purposes Of Mass Immigration

The common view of immigration on the Left is that Mass immigration is a useful weapon on four fronts

1.) The war against the ideal of limited government

The influx of third world immigrants that are being advocated will result in the burgeoning power of the State as these new immigrants vote for candidates who will take from the stolen monies of citizens, that are nested in the Government coffers, and redistribute those monies to the new race pimps representing the immigrant constituency. The consequence of this, of course, is to expand government in its stealing from Paul to give to Peter routine.

2.) The greater jihad against the historic American nation itself

Bertolt Brecht in a similar context where people had risen up against their government poetically asked,

Would it not be easier
In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?

Clearly a state apparatus that fancies that the best arrangement for a State is a Centralized top down State replete with a planned economy is going to do all it can to create a citizenry that agrees with them and will support the State. Traditional Americans who know their history and are familiar with their birthright will be, at the very least, diluted by the immigration influx.

3.) Enriching the Super Wealthy by swamping the market with low wage slaves.

Immigration redistributes the wealth into the pockets of the super-wealthy as wages are suppressed while the super rich get richer. High stock prices, rising home values and surging corporate profits have buoyed the recovery-era incomes of the most affluent Americans, with the incomes of the rest still weighed down by high unemployment and stagnant wages for many blue- and white-collar workers due to the labor surplus created by untrammeled immigration.

4.) And the Ultimate goal … To destroy the Historically Orthodox Christian Faith

Most of the type of Biblical Christianity that informed America for the first 75 years or so has long gone into eclipse but remnants remain. With continued immigration Christianity will be redefined just as the rest of the nation is redefined. Biblical Christianity accounts for the belief in limited Government, the belief if just wages and just prices, and the belief system of traditional Americans. As such, this ultimate goal of destroying the Historically Orthodox Christian faith, if accomplished, assures that the lesser proximate goals are achieved.

The Multi-ist Agenda

By seeking to build a multi-cultural, multi-creedal, multi-familial Globalist New World Order society in America we are seeking to do something that has seldom if ever been successfully done before in any time in human history. The history books do not show a civilization/society/nation that was multicultural, multi-creedal, multi-familial as able to sustain it self over the long haul. On the other hand history reveals countless examples of Multicultural / egalitarian failures whether one considers the Greeks, Romans, 1700’s-1800’s Poland, Yugoslavia, Soviet Union, Kosovo/Serbia, The Flemish and the Walloon of Belgium, or even the French Canadians in Quebec, etc. History does not support the idea that “multism” can work.

The dirty little secret however is that there really is no attempt to sustain the differences that come to the fore in a multi-istic culture. What is going on in the West is not the attempt to build a culture where all distinctions are honored. The differences, being hurled together, is only one phase on the way to a much grander project. The grander project, as pursued by the Internationalist Bankster elite, is to put all these differences they are slamming together into a New World Order blender to create a uni-culture, uni-creedal, uni-racial, New World Order. The goal is to move past the social construct that is mutliculturalism, multi-creedalism, and multi-familialism, to a socially engineered and arrived at cultural, creedal, and biological reality where all polarities of culture, creed, and race have been genocided precisely because they have been regenerated into a Universalistic slave melange.

The proximate purpose behind this attempt to create a Unitarian world where all cultures, beliefs, and colors bleed into one is accounted for by a pagan postmillennial desire to build a Utopian Kingdom of Man. Such Utopias are described in books like Huxley’s “Brave New World,” Zamyatin’s “We,” Muggeridge’s “Winter In Moscow,” and Orwell’s “1984.” The one unifying theme in these books is that pagan postmillennialist Utopia always creates Dystopian nightmare social orders. And so it already is, and will even more become, as the genocidal vision of the New World Order elite comes to the fore as driven by the current massive third world immigration into the West.

The ultimate purpose behind this attempt to create a Unitarian world where all cultures beliefs, and colors bleed into one is to create a mega-slave class for the 1 percent. This whole egalitarian internationalist New World Order project looks to genocide — especially of the West — and the subsequent creation of a Borg cattle people in order to be unto them what the Hebrews were unto the Pharaohs in building their pyramids and great cities. Included in this ultimate purpose is the rebuilding of a Babel that will glorify the god of sulfur and brimstone who is the one who has forever sought to turn God’s Eden into His Mordor.

The means by which this is all attempted is the social engineering of the league of Globalists, Socialists, Corporatists, Finance & International Capitalists as well as assorted Communists, Fascists and Fabians who have worked together, via the Hegelian dialectic, to bring all this about. By the means of welfare, housing allowances, mass immigration, affirmative action, redistribution programs, monopoly power, diversity programs, money printing ability, debt creation, etc. as combined with the threat of force the social engineering of this league has allowed their multi-ism to advance. However, should the day come when the money ceases to flow, or when the dollar crashes the untangling of this socially engineered knot will not be a pleasant sight to behold.

Contributing to all this has been much of contemporary Christianity of the West. One form of Christianity, having been long captured by this agenda, merely baptizes this Globalist agenda and wraps it all in the Cross. It insists that egalitarianism is taught by passages like Galatians 3:28 and insist that Jesus taught re-distributive Marxism. This school will appeal to passages like the Sermon on the Mount as proving that Jesus loves the poor only because they are poor. Whereas Scripture places the antithesis between the righteous and the wicked these Zombie Ministers place the antithesis between the poor and the rich and then label the poor as “righteous” and the rich as “wicked” regardless of their confession of Christ. Whereas Scripture explicitly defends the notion of Hierarchy these brain dead Ministers are at the front of the parade thumping for egalitarianism as taught in the Bible. Whereas Scripture defends the right of private property and personal ownership these dead walking Ministers insists the Bible teaches that because the early believers had all things in common therefore Government top down forced communalism is the social order taught in Scripture. This kind of Christianity is forever prattling about social justice quite without realizing or caring that the whole idea of “social justice” comes to us from the bowels of Marx and not the bowels of Scripture. This Zombie Christianity was funded by Rockefeller, preached by Fosdick, and embraced and slightly amended by the Liberation Theologians.

However, there is another form of Christianity that contributes to the success of multi-ists and that is the branch of Christianity that insists that God doesn’t care about all these issues, having left them to be ruled by Natural law. According to these co-laborers with the Zombies above, these Hyphenated Men insist that God doesn’t care if the family is destroyed in the name of egalitarianism. God doesn’t care if private property is attacked so that a classless society can be built. God doesn’t care about mutli-culturalism, multi-creedalism, and multi-familialism in the public square because God has determined that all of that is going to burn anyway and the Churches job is to get people saved. What this group of Hyphenatied Christians do is that they immanentize their eschaton. Believing that Christianity will be defeated in the end and that all is going to burn in the end anyway, they operate in such a way as to insure that all will burn and that Christianity will be defeated. As such they insist that God doesn’t have a clear word to speak against the Globalists.

And so Christianity is one of the chief vehicles that is working to bring about the agenda of the multi-ists, either by way of overtly assisting the project by wrapping it in the Cross or by refusing to fight against it by removing the Robes of Christianity from the conflict out of fear those robes will be polluted by the conflict. All such Christianities are to be denounced.

Finally, we can account for this Multi-ism has it is a reflection of Humanist theology. Humanism has made man, in his corporate expression, to be god. One thing that is characteristic of all gods is that they are unified in their person. As such the god of Humanism must have a Unitarian reality to reflect back to itself. The Unitarian God state must work to destroy all distinctions — all cultural distinctions, all creedal distinctions, all ethnic distinctions, all class distinctions. As the God of Humanism is Unitarian, so must be the God’s people. The way to arrive at this uniformity Unitarianism is by pushing the multi-cultural, multi-creedal, and multi-racial agenda so that uni-culturalism, uni-creedalism, and uni-familialism is arrived at.

An Ancient Plan For Subversion

In 1492, Chemor, chief Rabbi of Spain, wrote to the Grand Sanhedrin, which had its seat in Constantinople, for advice, when a Spanish law threatened expulsion. Below is the reply,

“Beloved brethren in Moses we have received your letter in which you tell us the anxieties and misfortunes which you are enduring. We are pierced by as great pain to hear it as yourselves.

The advice of the Grand Satraps and Rabbis is as follows,

1.) As for what you say that the King of Spain obliges you to become Christians: do it, since you cannot do otherwise

2.) As for what you say about the command to despoil you of your property: make your sons merchants that they may despoil, little by little, the Christians of theirs.

3.) As for what you say about making attempts on your lives: make your sons doctors and apothecaries, that they may take away Christians’ lives.

4.) As for what you say of their destroying your Synagogues: make your sons canons and clerics in order that they destroy their churches.

5.) As for the many other vexations you complain of: arrange that your sons become advocates and lawyers, and see that they always mix in affairs of state, that by putting Christians under your yoke you may dominate the world and be avenged on them.

6.) Do not swerve from this order that we give you, because you will find by experience that, humiliated as you are, you will reach the actuality of power.

Considering Temptation

Lead us not into Temptation

Where do we normally think of our Temptations arising from?

The Devil

Occasionally we see the Devil show up personally unto temptation. In the Garden. In the book of Job. In the fall of Judas and the sifting of Peter but we must understand that the Devil is not omnipresent and most often the Temptations to evil, at their root, though inspired by the Devil, are not directly delivered by the Devil.

Still Scripture teaches that

I Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

And so we remember we wrestle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers and we all the while pray, “Lead us not into Temptation.”

The World

St. James says that Friendship with the World is enmity towards God.

St. John can say

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Of course “World” in the way we are using it means to join in league with the Sons of Adam against the truth and principles laid down by Christ. We are Tempted by the World most normally when our desire to “fit in” rises above our desire to to walk in terms of God’s authority.

The idea of the “World” as a Temptress I think is better translated “this present age,” so that the idea is that Temptation is being driven by a desire that isn’t entirely abnormal to go along to get along. So, when it comes to Temptation, “The World” is not so much things like Alcohol, Smokes, or Theater, but rather it is what we surrender in terms of our identity in order to fit in with a zeitgeist that is opposed to God’s authority.

The Scripture gives us an example of that In Demas. Early on Demas was a valued companion of Paul.

Col. 4:14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.
Philemon 24 Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.

But later Paul can write of Demas,

II Timothy 4:10 — For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world,

Apparently, Demas considered the relief of no longer identifying with Paul and his work and message to be more important than what could be gained from that identity.

Concrete example,

The issue of sexuality in the public square. There are many in the Church who are surrendering this teaching inch by inch in order to be able to accommodate this present age,

Horton Quote,

“Although a contractual relationship denies God’s will for human dignity, I could affirm domestic partnerships as a way of protecting people’s legal and economic security. However, the “marriage card” is the demand for something that simply cannot consist in a same-sex relationship….”

“The challenge there is that two Christians who hold the same beliefs about marriage as Christians may appeal to neighbor-love to support or to oppose legalization of same-sex marriage.”

Or another Concrete example of being Tempted by the World

“Instantaneous creation of Adam and Eve is not explicitly required by the text or its subsequent interpretation, but the historicity of a first human couple with whom God entered into covenant is indispensable to theology at significant points in almost every locus.”

Nobody in the Church made these kinds of concessions until this present age insisted that Christianity couldn’t be relevant until it made these kinds of concessions. And so large segments of the Church have become Demas like in their abandonment of the Christian faith in order to avoid being seen as “narrow” as God’s enemies count “narrow.”

So love of the world, in terms of Temptation, can tempt us to abandon our associations with Christians as Demas did or it can cause us to give up doctrinal positions in order to maintain our relevance. And because the Temptations of the World can be so intense at every turn we are taught to pray, regardless of our place or status in life to “Lead us not into Temptation.”

The Self

Temptation often comes through the self as that self still remains besotted with the lineaments of our old Adamic nature. As regenerated we still deal with lusts, envy, self-centeredness, pride, unbelief and a host of other plug uglies that raise their heads all too frequently.

Our Canon’s of Dordt can speak to this issue by noting,

“Those people whom God according to his purpose calls into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord and regenerates by the Holy Spirit, God also sets free from the dominion and slavery of sin, though not entirely from the flesh and from the body of sin as long as they are in this life.

Article 2: The Believer’s Reaction to Sins of Weakness

Hence daily sins of weakness arise, and blemishes cling to even the best works of saints, giving them continual cause to humble themselves before God, to flee for refuge to Christ crucified, to put the flesh to death more and more by the Spirit of supplication and by holy exercises of godliness, and to strain toward the goal of perfection, until they are freed from this body of death and reign with the Lamb of God in heaven.”

True it is a Christian people who are praying this prayer and we pray to God to lead us not into Temptation because as a Christian people we know all too well our weakness and dispositions. The praying then of “lead us not into Temptation but Deliver us from evil” is the prayer of a people who distrust themselves while trusting God.

This 6th petition reminds us thus again that the only place we can go is to the prayer closet and to our Father to secure help as against ourselves.

When we talk about Temptations we would do well to remind ourselves that sometimes the most effective Temptation is the most subtle,

Screw Tape Letters,

“You will say that these are very small sins; and doubtless, like all young tempters, you are anxious to be able to report spectacular wickedness. But do remember, the only thing that matters is the extent to which you separate the man from the Enemy. It does not matter how small the sins are provided that their cumulative effect is to edge the man away from the Light and out into the Nothing. Murder is no better than cards if cards can do the trick. Indeed the safest road to Hell is the gradual one-the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts.”

― C.S. Lewis

What may we say of this connection between our Temptations and God?

First if we look back at Mt. Ch. 4:1 we see God ordaining the Temptation of our Lord Christ,

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

Clearly we see here that God is sovereign even as it pertains to our Temptations. And while James teaches that God himself tempts no one, clearly He is sovereign over the coming and goings of Temptations. And even when Temptation does come into our lives as believers we can be confident that

God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (I Cor. 10:13).

And so it is fitting and proper to pray that we might not be led into Temptation. Who else can calm our sinful appetites so that we are not Tempted except our Father in Heaven?

Now we turn to the prayer for deliverance.

It is likely that the Scripture here should be translated, “Evil one” as opposed to just “Evil,” though it is not wrong to translate it either way.

Mt. 5:37 / Mt. 13:19, 38, / John 17:15 / I John 2:13

I prefer “Evil One” as opposed to just “Evil” because it reminds us that Evil is not just an abstract philosophical concept but Evil is personal.

When we pray to be delivered from this Evil one we are praying not only to be delivered from his agenda but also the agenda of all those who are in league with him and so all those who advocate his agenda. In this prayer we are reminded that those issues that we stand against that are contrary to Christ and His Gospel can not be abstracted from the Evil one. So when we pray to be delivered from the Evil one we at the same time pray that we would be delivered from all that opposes Christ. We pray for deliverance from unjust wars, we pray for deliverance from assaults on the family, we pray for deliverance from being enslaved by unjust rulers because these are all the machinations of the Evil One whom we are praying to be delivered from.

Of course this prayer reminds us also that because of Christ’s finished work on the Cross we have already been delivered from the Evil one. Because of Christ’s death, resurrection and ascension, the Devil no longer has any hold on us. Paul can say in Colossians that God has delivered us from the Dominion of Darkness and translated us to the Kingdom of God’s dear son.

So, we can pray “Deliver us from the Evil One,” precisely because we have been delivered from the Evil One. There is a now, not yet to this prayer.

“O Father, I thank you that you have delivered me from the Devil’s authority and power in the death of Christ. I thank you that sin as a lifestyle and way of life no longer has dominion over me. I thank you that I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. Now, I ask that despite my weakness and frailty you would continue to deliver me from the Evil one.”

So, as Jesus puts this prayer on the lips of His people we see how realistic it is. We are are a forgiven people who are in need of forgiveness, we are a delivered people who have need to ask for deliverance from the Evil one. We are a people who find our beginning with our Father in Heaven and our ending in desiring His Kingdom, Power, and Glory to be seen forever.

Deliver us from Evil

As part of the Church militant our cry is always for relief from the designs of the enemy. And so until we are made secure in the Church triumphant — the church at rest — we constantly cry out for deliverance.

To cry out for deliverance in our Prayer life reminds us that our victory is not in ourselves. We can not deliver ourselves. This petition reminds us then how beholden we are to God for our final deliverance, just as we are beholden to Him for our current deliverance.

And so here we are praying this prayer that has been on the lips of God’s people for millennial. And the more we pray it with earnestness the more we see how dependent we are upon God to traverse all the dangers that we find in the Devil, in the World, and in ourselves. In praying this prayer we communicate to God and to ourselves how much we long to be done with those character flaws, those habits, those crooked desires that are inconsistent with the Christian life. Prayed in earnest and with understanding, this 6th petition throws us off ourselves and on to the mercy of God.

And yet at the same time praying this prayer reminds us that we are praying this as a already delivered people. God has secured us in Christ so that we the delivered ones keep praying for deliverance. And so the prayer, rightly understood, is also a prayer of gratitude.

Let us stand and together pray the Lord’s Prayer
