Oh, This Is Rich

Jimmy Carter — he of 12% unemployment, 12% inflation fame, and 21.5 interest rate points — has recently slammed George Bush for the economy. Now, it is true that Bush is a bonehead, but he is only to be exceeded by Jimmy Carter.

You see this whole mess we are in goes back to the community reinvestment act signed into a law by Jimmy Carter. This act, expanded and strengthened by Clinton, was the act that made multiculturalism the litmus test in lending.

The hypocrisy turds that are floating around in our culture are a size I’ve never seen them in my 49 years of life.

  1. A friend of mine observed that most of our public discourse today is filled with a cacophony of clamoring pots and kettles.

    It is ridiculous for socialist democrats to blame others for the failure of their own pet policies. Then again, they wouldn’t be good democrats or socialists if they didn’t do this. But the GOP is hardly an innocent party to this mess.

    However, I think George II has expanded the size, scope and spending of the federal government, especially the warfare side, far more than Carter. George II is just as globalist and multiculturalist as Carter.

    Some have argued that we now have 12% or higher inflation because the way the official numbers are calculated changed after Clinton. Likewise, probably, with inflation statistics.
