My humble stock portfolio took a 33% hit in value.
But not to worry, once the State seizes the rest of it, they will take good care of me in my dotage.
Thank you Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Fanklin Raines, Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Karl Rove.

I look forward to the gruel and bread I will be served at the state-run retirement home.
I don’t understand, Bret. Why can’t you get a bailout?
Well, before I get a bailout I have to go out and buy a house I can’t afford.
Or…
As I suspect will soon happen … If I go out and run up about ten credit cards I’m thinking I’ll get bailed out.
But not to worry … there is talk out there of the government seizing the pensions and combining your pension payment with your social security check.
Ah, the security of knowing that the Government will be in charge of my retirement.
