  1. This is in line with the Belgic which states that even with the Mosaic civil and ceremonial law, the “truth and substance” of them remain. Thus, while one may argue whether the same Mosaic penalty is prescribed today, the fact remains that such sins are still *punishable* by churches or men, as Rutherford states. This should not be in dispute.
