My passion is to write in such a way that the Lord Christ might be pleased. It is my hope that people will be challenged to reconsider what are considered the givens of the current culture.
Your biggest help to me dear reader will be to often remind me that God is Sovereign and that all that is, is because it pleases him.

When the Bible says to “obey the government” “Pray for them” “Pay your taxes” they were referring to the Roman government and other Kings down through the ages. Going by your definition is ludicrous. What government has every been a truly holy righteous one? Maybe when David was king but even he wasn’t perfect.
Be very careful not to misinterpret Scripture, my brothers.
Dear Less.
The bible never says without qualifying itself to “obey the government.”
Be very careful you know what Scripture says before you tell those who know what Scripture says that Scripture doesn’t say that… Brother.
I highly recommend this article on what the Scripture actually teaches with respect to civil authorities and our relation to them as Christians: https://www.christianityapplied.org/romans-13-and-christian-resistance-to-evil-government-rulers/
That kind of explanation is all over Iron Ink but I’m glad to have it stated again.
Here is yet another video explanation. Let’s hope Less is willing to learn.
