Johnson Hurls the Charge of Unfairness

“Do not be deceived: Neither… men who have sex with men nor… slanderers… will inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Cor 6:9-10).

I’m sorry, but until denominations take the *second* one seriously — & defrock slanderous pastors & elders — claims of purity, peace & unity are false.

Being interpreted … “My sin is perfectly acceptable until you stop the sin of the other guy.”

Even if Greg is right about inconsistency in how various sins are handled,  all because slanderers are not getting justice doesn’t mean that Greg Johnson is being treated unfairly because he is getting justice. It’s not unjust when Greg is treated justly… and that even when others are not being treated fairly by not being given what God requires.

  1. Unity? With whom the queer heretic? The implicit positioning clothed in Johnson’s comment is that he is actually of the elect. It’s one thing to struggle with one’s sin but quite another to claim the propensity as one’s identity as if the outward manifestation (acts) of that identity are sinful while the inward condition is not. Evidently Mr Effeminate is strong enough (he says) to ward off the desires but God is incapable of renewing the mind of the Sodomite. As a person thinks in his heart so is he.

    1. Hello Mark!

The most recent lingo is to deny that they are identifying with their sin and to instead say that they are just admitting that they experience same-sex attraction.

      1. Then why the need to identify with the label “gay” or its corollaries? Jesus says that a man who looks at a woman with lust is an adulterer, but should we accept a pastor (or any Christian, for that matter) who says, “Hi, I’m Bill, a Christian adulterer!” Or, better yet, Jesus says that anyone who says to his brother “raca” is a murderer and worthy of hellfire. Should we accept a pastor or Christian who says, “Hi, I’m John, a Christian serial killer!” People who want to accept homosexual identity into the Church are either deceivers or the deceived.

If the Son has set you free, you are free indeed. There is no reason to associate one’s personhood with the ways of the flesh in any way. There is only the person of Christ into whose likeness we are being made; and what remains to be sloughed off through sanctification in this life, or purifying fire before we enter the next.
