Of course, I am kidding about thinking about becoming Muslim. The point I am obviously making is that Islam has the advantage of not holding to a pussified religion such as we often see among putatively Reformed clergy. (Their name is legion.) The Reformed faith, characterized as it is by the militant amillennialism of R2K glories in defeat.
Keep also in mind that in order for R2K to work as a social order religion that allows people from all different faiths to live in a common realm that is unaffected by religion what is required is all other religions to have their own version of R2K. Read that Taliban quote again. Does it sound like Islam is ever going to put up with a common square?

I just finished reading a new volume of (some never before published) 1861-1865 sermons of R.L. Dabney. This quote from them is as pointed to today’s “pussified” Christianity as it was then:
Shame on the boasted Christianity of America and of the nineteenth century! With all its parade of evangelism, power, and light, wherein has it been less impotent and spurious than the effete religion of declining Rome which betrayed Christendom into the dark ages? … I believe that if the Christianity of America now betrays the interests of men and God to the criminal hands which threaten them, its guilt will be second only to that of the apostate church which betrayed the Savior of the world; and its judgment will be rendered in calamities second only to those which avenged the divine blood invoked by Jerusalem on herself and her children. pp. 99-100.
