You Really Need To Listen To This — Touching Palin

I strongly encourage everyone to listen to what John Lofton has to say about Sarah Palin’s pro-life record as governor of Alaska:

Another Palin question for Reformed Christians that I’ve been hinting at is put directly by Frank Golubski,

Should Christians who favor a non-dispensationalist eschatology even consider supporting a dispensationalist candidate? (Mind you, this isn’t merely a spitting match between differing theologies, but a question of how dispensationalist theology could reasonably be expected to influence the political decisions of national leaders who adhere to it.)

  1. That as governor she didn’t nothing to support the prolife movement in AK is eyeopening. But the real clincher is Dr. Dobson’s equivocation for his huge shift in position. The part where he excused McCain’s known temper and foul mouth after being so critical of it just months before is astounding. The world has gone mad.

  2. Yes, people are spinning all kinds of scenarios using fairy dust whereby Palin will be the coming one who ends abortion. Seems we have our own Messiah.

I have been thinking about this whole Celebrity – Messiah angle. The Democrats had a Messiah for awhile (I think Obama’s Halo is starting to fall) and now it seems we have created a celebrity and Messiah in Palin. So now I’m asking … “What is it in the American psyche that has Americans acting this way?”

There must be some sociological analysis out there on this phenomenon.
