Isn’t he just describing the everyday rights and power of normal citizens vis-a-vis the 2nd amendment?
Taken in another sense, I understand his words to mean that I and my fellow countrymen who have not bowed the knee to Baal need to form a militia and start training. Ever read Heiland by Franklin Sanders?
No, I need to get that book by Sanders. I’ve read fine reviews on it.
If he’s talking about everyday rights and power of normal citizens vis-a-vis the 2nd amendment I’ll eat my shorts.
No, neither Obama nor the majority of pols agree with Thomas Jefferson, who said:
“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”
I wish I could tell you differently…
Bret,
Maybe this explains it. Obama’s newly appointed chief of staff is named Rahm Emanuel. In his 2006 book, Emanuel argued that every American should be conscripted into a “universal civilian service.” That sounds an awful lot like what Obama is talking about in this video. Hide your kids.

Joshua,
Funny, I had just finished reading that when you sent it along.
IMO, as I read the article, this universal service will be one final shot of Political correctness indoctrination.
Also, isn’t there something in the constitution that prohibits slavery?
