Actually, it is admissible to assign character traits to White Anglo Saxon Christian males but all other groups are off limits.
If you visit here with any frequency you will see more comments that touch on the idea that God has crafted men in such a way that they have character traits that belong to the group they identify with.
Finally, to answer your last question, I would say that we went from men like Lee and Dabney to men like Bush and Hinn because of our Government schools and because of revivalism, pietism and gnosticism in the Church.
All which remain vigorously present.
