Top 10 Reasons To Support Illegal Immigration

10.) You like big government

Mass immigration, the way that it is being currently allowed, will effect the balkanization of America. Once balkanization is achieved the only thing that can harmonize the disparate groups into a cohesive whole is force (think Tito’s Yugoslavia). Force is what Government does best.

9.) You’ve always wanted to be multi-lingual

8.) Well, e pluribus Unum is Spanish, after all… isn’t it?

7.) You have always thought castanets sounded cool

6.) Your children are brats and you want to disinherit them

5.) You think the bureaucrats that run prisons and are responsible for Welfare handouts aren’t busy enough.

In 1995 (14 years ago) 25% of the prisoners in federal penitentiaries were illegal immigrants. That number is even higher today. 19 years ago, we spent 16 Billion more in welfare payments to immigrants than they paid back in taxes. Anybody want to bet that those numbers haven’t decreased?

4.) You never liked the middle class anyway

Statistics suggest that one consequence of immigration is wealth transfer from labor to big capital, resulting in ever shrinking middle class, thus moving us towards a have and have not third world culture.

3.) You’re an Evangelical and you figure that people shouting for ‘Aztlan’ are OK since you liked that Narnia movie also.

(Besides, you think the Mexican flag is real pretty.)

2.) You think America should be a universal nation. To be a nation, by necessity, entails ethnic and cultural specificity. To speak of a universal nation is akin to speaking of a universal marriage or a universal family. As with marriage and family, so with the idea of nation, there must be parameters that restrict the members that comprise it in order to speak coherently concerning it.

1.) You grew up during the 60’s and you’ve kind of missed the good old fashioned protest marches.

And a few more from our resident Medical Doctor,

0. You think it will help with your sanctification for you and your children to deal with the leprosy, plague and tuberculosis they will now be exposed to in their government propaganda institution…I mean, public school.

-1. It’s exciting and exotic to have adult males in your community whose culture tells them that sex with 10-year old females is important to further their development into compliant, subservient “baby-mamas.”

-2. Everyone knows that all those poor Mexicans are coming her to do the jobs “Whitey,” won’t do…even if we end up in a hyper-inflationary depression with 25% unemployment.

-3. Isn’t it a good thing to have all those committed Roman Catholics in our communities, shining as examples of Christian piety…even if their out-of-wedlock birthrate approaches 75% and their abortion rate is equal to that of avowed atheists?

-4. We just want to join the long list of successful multi-cultural civilizations, like…ummm, well…they have to exist, right? Right?!? Hello??

  2. Damn man. What are you doing? If our Congress doesn’t have those lobby groups tapping on their door, they are going to have to cut back to one caddy a year. Is that want you want? That alone will put GM over the brink. Foo… lighten up.

And are there any primers on running for a Senate job? I would REALLY like to blend right in if you know what I mean.

  3. This is the most ridiculous load of crap I have ever read. These people are real people with real families and real lives, and the numbers committing crimes and hurting communities are far less than those helping the economy or simply keeping to themselves. Stop being so selfish; our nation is made up of people from a myriad of backgrounds, and there are no natives except the native tribes, whom white leaders deemed unfit to live here long ago and have mistreated ever since. This is arrogance, and I am appalled to live in a country of such closed-minded people.

  4. Amber,

If you are appalled to live in a country of such closed-minded people you can always move. Actually, I think you’re the one being closed minded for your refusal to more thoroughly investigate the facts.

You really need to read up on this before you pontificate. Might I recommend you begin with Peter Brimelow’s “Alien Nation.” While you’re reading that you might want to go to VDare.com for some daily reading that will help you get your facts straight.

The first place though to start might be with the word “illegal.”

  5. “”This is the most ridiculous load of crap I have ever read. These people are real people with real families and real lives””

And we are not “real people” with “real lives”?

    Goodness, you Marxist are evil.

  6. Amber,

    “Sticks and Stones”

I provide care for these “real people, with real lives,” every day. I deliver their babies (often to children), fix them when they’re sick and try to help them deal with the lie they’ve been told: that if they just come to America, everything will be rosy and we will take care of them for the rest of their lives. I respect the desire for a better life that led many of them north. I have discussed with many of the older generation (most of whom came here through the proper channels and have attempted to “Americanize,” themselves) about the newer flood of young, restless Mexicans who desire to “Mexicanize,” the communities in which they find themselves. Many older immigrants are embarrassed by the arguments they hear from today’s leftists. It’s insulting to them that they’ve worked hard and struggled to make a new life for themselves, but today’s immigrants just want to move north, while remaining Mexican.

I would ask that before you rail against our “crap,” that you research it a little and counter our arguments with facts. Which statement in either Bret’s original post or in my comment do you think are false (and not just distasteful)?

    Jay

  7. The best reason backing up mass immigration is that at long last wicked white folks are getting genocided. With mass immigration into all white countries and only white countries, there won’t be any whites left.

  8. Yes i understand that the illegal immigrants dont pay taxes, but we cant just pick up every person and ship them out. If you can afford to do that, do it yourself. Until then, most of these people are working their butts off to make a living AND try to afford to become citizens. but this country has raised their prices so much that it has essentially become rich man’s land, rather than a land of opportunity. Taxes to the aristocracy over dreams are what upset our forefathers and created this country. Many companies will admit the crappy job we Americans do and how they depend on hard laborers. So you may work, but that doesnt mean you perform well. Plus, my father was an immigrant, worked hard to keep his family alive in a country with no jobs, took english classes, and raised me, who now serves this country to protect closed-minded people like you. So we dont just take your taxes, we are trying to save lives, just as you suposedly are. And illegal immigrant has a completely different definition in the dictionary from criminal. Look up the facts!

  9. 1.)President Eisenhower, during “operation Wetback” did pick up every illegal immigrant and ship them out. We could do this if wanted to, we just lack the political will.

2.) Most of them are not working their butts off. Any cost / benefit analysis that takes into account the cost to our social safety net will conclude (as studies already have) that the expense of illegal immigration far exceed any benefit.

3.) This country would be far more the land of opportunity if it weren’t for illegal immigrants taking American jobs. Also, you might want to consider that when there is a surplus of labor that keeps wages down. If you’re a legal immigrant, as it sounds like, you should be against illegal immigration as well.

4.) Many companies prefer the hard labor of immigrants because it reduces their labor costs.

5.) My wife’s father was a legal immigrant. I have nothing against legal immigrants though I think we should reduce that number as well as cut off illegal immigration.

6.) I don’t want your stinking protection. I can protect myself.

7.) Illegal immigrants are criminals. It’s why they are called “ILLEGAL.”

If you are somebody who can read, might I suggest securing a copy of Peter Brimelow’s “Alien Nation,” and give it a read.

  10. Illegal immigrants don’t pay taxes?!
That is the biggest load of crap I have heard.

    Just….wow.

  11. Erika,

It’s a well documented fact that when the taxes paid by illegal immigrants is compared to the benefits being paid out to illegal immigrants from the country’s social services (free education, free health care, etc.) that the net effect is that illegal immigrants are, financially speaking, a net loss. See the work done by Harvard Professor George Borjas.
